PS3 Downloading Question

I just bought mine today, and recenty began downloading a few demos. I was wondering, if the machine is turned off during this process, will all progress be lost?

More importantly...if Im downloading something I bought (like flow) and the system freezes or something and I have to turn it off, do I have to buy it again?

1) No it saves your download progress so you can continue it anytime.

2) No you can just download it again. Bought games can be redownloaded up to 5 times.

On that note: my ps3 froze when i was changing my wallpaper....has that happened to anyone else?

yeah, I reset the system and everything is fine. However, I have observed one thing about the PSN so far.....
