PS3 Elite- Useless?

I dont see the point, its has 20 more GB. Maybe if they went to 160GB or somthing, but just 20 isent a big diffrence and there isennt much of a point. I doubt anyone will buy it. Do u think they should give it 100 or 80 more GB and add some more things?

There was a rumor that Sony will make a new console with 80 gb of hard drive; but Sony said that it isn't true.

was already debunked by sony as was the ps3 burning into discs so that they would only be able to play on one ps3. thy said they patented it last year but they have no plans to release one like it

You can easily replace the hard drive yourself. Why would Sony do this?

1) Sony responded and said nothing was in development. It was just incase.

2) No one knows, it might be for a PS3 slim version.

3) Do not expect it anytime soon. It will be at least 3 years. Microsoft releasing Elite was imho a stupid move in the console war but it was to catch up with the PS3. Which in a way it did not. It only added 120 gigs and HDMI. I can go out to the store right now and buy a usb hardrive at 500 gigs and hook it up to my PS3 for the same price as their 120 gig HDD.

Even if Sony did offer a bigger 80GB hard drive it would be stupid because they don't have a successful marketplace like the 360 that would actually take advantage of it.
