PS3 Eye Beneficial?

I was looking at the ps3 eye camera and wondered what anyone's experiences with this are. Is this a useful piece of equipment or unnecessary? What are some good games to use with it?

Video chat is very underutilized....

The free software to download can be fun....you tube "ps3 stop motion"

Do not get it as a mic.....

Games are not that great...

dont get eye of judgment unless you were into magic the gathering (and by into it i mean obsessed) otherwise theres a few games on psn that are like eyetoy and they are alright for mucking around. otherwise it is only useful for chatting with video and putting images on games like some you can put your own face into a game. i barely use mine

just wait til the ps3 motion controller comes out it will be used in conjunction with the eye i cannot wait for that! its like wii + hd + awesome ps3 games + way better accuracy

Some people use the eye as a mic,,,,,,I would not get it or use it as a mic.............

omg almost forgot about that! i cant wait for that its amazing! a sword in 1 hand and a shield in the other, games will be amazing!

is there a problem with the eye for mic use? and no i dont have a eye but i was planning getting one so i can put my face on fight night round 4. even though i dont care about voice chat, it's great if i had the option to use the eye

I've had no issue when using it as a mic, infact everyone i know online said i was much clearer than when i used my original headset before it broke
