PS3 File Ability Question

Hey guys, can the PS3 media player play VCD files? As in do they need to be converted to play through the PS3? Thanks! :)

try to put in the VCD, go to the video section, over your selection, press triangle then choose display all... incase this doesn't work, convert the files is your only option...

Nah, the display all thing doesn't work... I'm gonna assume that it doesn't support VCD... Thanks

Well, VCDs did auto play and were the early DVDs. They don't run via video file like AVI or MPEG..
