PS3 firmware causes 360 to get bricked (LOL WUT?)

The groundbreaking 2.4 Firmware update which boasts of in-game XMB access is reported to brick the Xbox 360 in more ways than one (both literally and figuratively). Sony Defense Force has received an anonymous tip from a poster by the name of "XboxHater4Lyfe" that updated his Playstation 3 to the latest 2.4 firmware update and then subsequently turned on his Xbox 360 only to find that his 360 had received the infamous "RROD" system error.

but unfortunately i think this is more a sign of either it's fakeness or of Xboxhater4lyfe's hypocrisy, not so much 2.4 = bringer of RROD.

Firmware v2.40 status

As has been reported on many gaming blogs and websites, we have temporarily taken Firmware v2.40 offline. We've received a limited number of calls from consumers experiencing an issue with installing the system software update on their PS3. While our consumer services department has seen a low volume of calls on this topic, we are committed to providing the PS3 community with XMB access features delivered in the v2.40 update. We are working diligently to isolate the problem for those few consumers and to identify a solution before we put the firmware back up.

We'll provide further information as necessary here on the Blog.

My PS3 is trying to kill my Wii. I always find my Wii in weird places and having a few new scuff marks on it every couple days. I haven't touched my Wii is a couple weeks since I got my PS3. I also find my Wii becoming very hot when ever I touch it and it hasn't even been on.spidermonkey11

your ps3 is just trying to prove its dominance by beating on a weaker, smaller console.. this is only natural :P
