PS3 game resolution future in 1080p?

for example this gta will be 720p but the next gta will be 1080p or burnout paradise will be 720p but the burnout after that one will be 1080p......so most games will be 1080p in 2008 and ALL games will be 1080p or even more in 2009planbfreak4eva

I wouldn't get ahead of yourself.  All games will never be in 1080p.  Some developers just won't see the need for it, or won't have the ability to produce a great game in 1080p 

I only see racing games, and sports games in 1080p as the norm. Shooters, and Action games will probabley look better in 720p anyway.m3Boarder32

please change "look better" to "play better" if you want to make that statement.  720p will NEVER LOOK BETTER than 1080p.  The game might PLAY better in 720p, but will not LOOK better in 720p.

Resolution is not the only thing that makes great picture quality.  A game with 720p, motion blur, 4xAA, and HDR might look better then a game in 1080p with no motion blur effects, no 4xAA, and weaker HDR.

It's not all about resolution,  a 60" Pioneer Plasma 6070HD with a 1366x765 resolution produces a better image than a 60" Sony XBR2 IMO.

I believe Ninja Gaiden Sigma (1080p, 60 fps), Lair (1080P, 30 fps), and Devil May Cry (1080P, 60 fps) are confirmed to be 1080p games.  I wouldn't be surprised to see Ratchet and Clank get there too.

But, I think I would better play the game in 720p mode with more things I can do while playing, as if I want a pretty video to watch I would buy a movie instead of a game to play! And remember though 1080p is GREAT (BEST EVEN) would stress out the memory on the disk, so would not play as a game and cut some of the more things.

But, I think I would better play the game in 720p mode with more things I can do while playing, as if I want a pretty video to watch I would buy a movie instead of a game to play! It is my belief that in 3-4 years, developers will have a handle on the PS3 so that they can do 1080p with all the jazz that 720p has now, and not have to "cut things out".
