PS3 doesn't have any Halo game, which really is a good thing. Not nearly as many annoying and ignorant 8-year-old kids playing an M-RATED GAME, screaming like idiots, or shouting obscenities, racist and just plain ignorant comments and over PSN. Also, the PS3 doesn't come with a headset right out of the box.
I've found that over PSN, around 99% of the users I've come into contact with aren't dumb. Some of them do sound like they are very young, too, but most of the time, they aren't really... immature. Really odd.
idk man. at cod4 id say 1/3 games im in theres an idiot blasting his music into his headset. rainbowsix vegas 1 has a little crap talkers too. im probably playing at bad times. its all relativeadam_53
That is true. There are a few annoying ones that play call of duty 4. Luckily there was a patch allowing us to mute individual players!
i hate it when my son wants to talk to people in warhawk. he likes to talk to people so he can get them to ride a jeep or something or help a team mate out which has told me that is his goal in the game. he likes the wrench and health packs.
but everytime they shut him off because well his voice has not changed.
just the other day a guy said to him what are 3 years old. ha ha im going to kill you a hundred times. lol my son top player 80% of the time so after one match the guy realized how good he was and then they went out together in the game helping each other out.
just because his a child they either boot him or shot him off. it is aggravating to me because he good and serious about the game.
I've spent a lot of time playing Warhawk and it seems that the majority of the players on there are older and more mature when compared to Live and PC gaming. Just an observation, though.caseystrykerI noticed that too. Sure there's always the jackass, high pitched voice brat or the "gansta" that doesn't STFU but normally I find normal and pleasent people.
Hey guys I don't know if you noticed this too but everyone with PS3's are pretty cool down to earth people, I mean I met a fellow MGS4 player at bestbuy and spent about 10 minutes talking about MGS4 and PS3, anyone know why PS3 players are generally more friendly??? maybe because the PS3 is a fun console rather than a shooting box with angry gamers online everywhere? if this topic gets locked i'm gonna be pissed... It's funny because when I let my "Xbox friends" play online at me crib (on the Ps3) they are always talking sh*t non stop pretty much the whole time. It gets pretty annoying after about 5 minutes; in which I kick them off the Headset so they don't give me a bad rep. :o
I mean damn, whats up with xbox gamers in there big mouths, but I know a few that game on the system and there pretty laid back most of the time unless you piss them off, sort of like me.

i just think the PS3 is a more "mature" console period. i dont even play games online. i have enough people that randomly drop in and want to get a match or 2 of SCIV in at my spot. but when i go to my friends houses and they spend the entire time yelling at 8 yr old british kids about how their trolling spawning points for six hours u start wondering how it could possibly be fun.sorry but HaBloW interests me about as much podiatry.
but like someone stated earlier. theres douche-nozzles everywhere. the good thing is most of em cant afford a PS3 lol.
I think it's nature of human beings.
If you don't communicate with each other, you tend to get along.
Most people just don't talk on PSN to show their immature side. If people started to talk, I'm sure immature side would surface more.
Then there was one instance I played SoulCaliber online and as soon as I win I get a message that says "YOU SUCK YOU CHEATER!"
Imagine how many more of that I'd need to deal with if people can just straight out say it instead of going through annoying text sending.
It has a lot to do with what particular game you're playing. Gears of War had the rudest online players I've seen in a game so far. I do not know if PSN has nicer players or not; I do not have a headset to hear them. If PSN really does have the more likable community, I suspect it has something to do with the numbers of sold systems. As of now, the 360 has sold more units in North America and therefore has more people playing online (though the PS3 may pass it in the future). Another possible factor is the price. Since the PS3 cost more, those who own them are likely adults who bought the console themselves.
Dunno man. I had a person on live who I didn't know send me a message thanking me for my challenge in Street Fighter II and then go on to say that they upped my rep as a way to show their appreciation! That was by far the nicest thing any stranger has ever done and it was a 360 user... so I'm not sure if I agree with you're stereotype...
I think there's lame angry weirdos on both consoles.
Not all the time. When I play online there is tons of ****** out there that happen to be ps3 owners. And you know what I've had enough of the BS for a long time. I remember when I started playing online specifically COD4 is when it all started for me. People on the other team just didn't seem to care how cheap of kills they were getting from me. And it taught to play as dirty and tricky as possible whenever online and that is exactly what I do. Sometimes when enemy gets chopper disconnect....baby.
Guess what if I don't have a good time online then nobody has a good time.
hmmm i would say yes in person... not really online.. there is always that "internet gangster" that want to talk trash all the time even tho they are in ur own team =/Keasy4
I hate those people:x

In the real world, people are nicer, but online they hide behind their little headsets and talk trash. Go face to face in real life and it's a whole 'nother story.Elann2008
I completely agree with you. I think you will find games across both systems that are crawling with immature trash talkers. I think that if you do not fall into these categories, make an attempt to always send a few Good Game messages to your opponents. Makes for a much better gaming environment.
ps3 has the one of the best communities i ever seen only one i experienced that was better was on final fantasy 11 im not sure why its so good like that but it must be the games because i did meet alot of awful people on cod4/gta4... but besides that psn has been freakin great n i enjoy it very much so n cant wait for resistance 2.... anyways i hope you continue enjoying and if ya want to add me i would be much obliged cheers!
