Here's the deal, we have around 410$ for a Ps3 slim and two games, Fifa 2010 and Devil May Cry 4 we're wondering if our budget is enough for this game including taxes.

Well...I guess that depends on how much the games cost considering one is an older game. A game at $60 it's about 5 dollars tax. Tax on a $299 ps3 will probably be about $40-$50.

If you order them from Amazon it'll cost you $364 total.

This is probably your best bet. You'll just have to deal with the wait.

HOLY CRAP! I just google'd Florida's sales tax, and I found out that it's only 6%. Is this true? That's half of what I pay up here in British Columbia, Canada (12%). If you're planning on buying it in stores, and we assume that the PS3 costs $300, DMC4 costs $30, and Fifa costs $60 with the total tax of 6%, simple math will tell us that the total will be somewhere around $413.40. Rob a bank for the extra $3.40 and you're good to go.

The sales tax in Virginia is only 5%, with food tax being 2.5%.

We dont have to rob anyone :D, we can add from 50$ to 100$ more if necessary. We're not buying the system until Janurary that gives my friend a lot of time to save more money for the purchase.

Tax in So Cal is 9.75%. I usually calculate how much tax I have to pay before I buy things so I can bring exact change. I'm just weird like that :).

I stopped buying my electronics from my city now because of the crazy amount of tax, its 9.85% in my city in CA (so-cal). buying a ps3 with tax basically is a 30 dollar game, I just order from amazon. no tax!

The thing is here in Florida everything is taxed except groceries and when we pay for labor only (where other goods are purchased along with labor charges then tax is charged for both the goods and the labor involved). Although there are a few places here in our state the local sales tax has a added tax of 1.5 %.
