Hey everyone. So I've been playing Record of Agarest War a bunch. I'm really excited for the second one to come out (it's a prequel). I've also been playing a game called Cross Edge and ofcourse Disgaea two. I'm however looking to add to my collection of games similar to the ones listed. I've been having trouble scanning then net to find lists or anything so I figured I'd ask here (:.

Thanks for your help.

They have a download title called Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment. Isn't going to be as long as Record of Agarest though. You could get about 10-15 hours out of it though.

Just beat that this weekend it feels like a budget title, but you get what you pay for not bad, but not good either imo...like a 6.5/10

A Record of Gears of War? LOL, I thought the Agarest War was a typo for Gears of War lmao.

unfortunately gridbased are rare on current gens. Although if you have some handhelps you might take a lot at : FF tactics psp Ogre battle tactics psp disgeae 1 psp and DS eternal poison ps2 Rondo of swords DS shin meagami tensei : devil survivor DS (3DS version = devil survivor overcloaked) knight in the nightmare ds psp luminous arc 1 and 2 DS yggdra union psp gba brigandine PsOne ogrebattle : march of the black queen SNES PsOne (doesnt use grids but still worth a shot) Ring of Red Ps2 (more of a mech type game but one one of my favorite games on the ps2)

Pick up a PSP if you enjoy strategy RPG's. That thing is a haven for them.

Pretty much just Disgaea 3 and Vandal hearts. If you want to play some good SRPGs get a PSP and maybe a DS, there are some fantastic games on it including my Goty last year, ZHP

To give you an idea what the PSP can offer (a lot are ports, but I guess you haven't played them all?):

ZHP:

Phantom Brave:

Tactics Ogre:

Jeanne d'Arc:

Generation of chaos:

Knights of the Nightmare:

The best game most similar on PS3 is Valkyria Chronicles. Disgaea is probably the best strategy RPG series out there, but I never bought the 4th one. I sunk over 300 he's in the 1st two though.

Wow everyone, these are great. Thanks so much :). For all of you who have played Record of Agarest War. You might know the new one (Record of Agarest War: Zero) is coming out later this month. It's a prequel. Well... I just bought the special edition and I'm so excited. Here's a link of what it all is.

They reviewed it in Playstation Magazine...6/10 But the last got a 5 (I think). So if you liked the last one, then you will probably like this one. There are just too many great SRPG's and they take too long to play for me to get ones that are not GREAT
