Why do people upgrade their ps3 Hdd to large amounts like 120 gb i mean what do you do with that much space.

some games take up a lot of space and i guess you can if you download a lot of stuff its not really that hard to fill up 120 gb of space.

I've got loads of music and, er, other "stuff" on mine. Used up about 110GB so far.

mainly for reasons like downloading things off the ps store and for people who buy plenty of games like heavenly sword or devil may cry 4 that require a LOT of HDD space

i have 20 gb of porn on ps3 10 gb for games and 7 gb of free space i might need to upgrade my hdd

the biggest ive got for a game is 6 gig, and the average is around 1-2 gig

All the new games tend to have atleast 3-5 GB of install space.

The PS3 wasn't desigend just for gaming,it supposed to be that one device that takes care of all of your entertainment needs.

Web Browser(needs some work, but it's a nice add-on

Just as another poster had stated, I have about 12g of movies (IT NOT PORN THOUGH)5g of music,2-3g of pictures and about 25g of game saves. Now Sony is talking about a service that will allow you to download movies, music and other types of software to your PS3...it should be a no-brainer why people need to upgrade their harddrive.
