Hey, I recently got a Samsung home theatre in a box system. Pretty high end for this type of system and has 2 HDMI inputs and 1 out. So my PS3 is connected via HDMI into the home theatre and there is a HDMI running to the TV. Pretty basic setup. But sometimes when I turn on the PS3 to play the sound cuts in and out at first before stabalizing and sometimes does not come on at all. There is also very tiny white specs that appear and dissapear on the TV screen but can' only see them on pure black. Most of the time it works ok but these little glitches are puzzling. I don't have any problems like this routing my cable box through the Samsung. I just used a basic cheap HDMI cable casue I've heard there is no point in buying expensive ones but this has me thinking maybe the PS3 is more sensitive. Also, I have confirmed the PS3's audio output settings are set for HDMI. Any thoughts?

could be the HDMI cable that's not good?

is it in the first minutes you turn it on? some amplifiers take time to heat up and work properly

have you tried resetting your display settings? when you turn on your PS3, hold down the power button for 5-6 seconds until you hear another beep, and then the display settings are reset.

i have been having the same problem. funny thing is i have some extra details. i have had in the past a panasonic plasma tv that was plugged into the home theatre system with the ps3 into the home theatre. sound never had any problems or flaws at all. so i went to upgrade my tv to a sony bravia LED TV the same way the plasma was. and then began the problem. so i thought maybe it was a problem with the tv.... so i had sony come out and replace the motherboard on the tv... worked ok for 1 day then back to the audio problem again.... so today i went and returned the sony and got a samsung LED TV..... and go figure.... the problem is back again... now one thing i did notice is that the plasma was a 60Hz tv and the LED's were a 120Hz. the HT system only has 60HZ also. so idk if maybe that has anything at all to do with it. but when i go and plug the plasma tv back in the sound works perfect again... its only when the LED tv is plugged in that i have the sound problem.... any advice?
