PS3 Headse and online ???

I am debating if I should purchase a PS3 Headset. I like working on team and I believe that its a lot funner when everyone is talking and being in a working team. But do people actually talk? and if so is it worth it?

Depends on the game. These games seem to have the best talking communites. CODMW2,COD4,COD, WAW, Socom Confrontation, Warhawk. So I say yes, buy a mic. PSN needs another good person who will talk.

And if you believe it's more fun when people are talking and on a team. You have a rude awakening ahead. There's too many control freaks/rude mouthed players out there. Usually the ones with the mics are people who want to tell everyone how to play taking away your freedom to decide for yourself.

Yeah I agree that it really depends on the game. The only game I really use my headset on is CoD: WaW and you get quite alot of morons shouting insults at people when they get killed :evil: bugs my happyness tbh. But that shouldn't stop you getting a mic :) you can meet some pritty decent gamers on rare occasions.

If you do buy one please buy the official psn one. I am sick and tired of hearing all these kids/people with their usb headsets or other random headsets that sound like utter cr@p. All you can hear is flipping static and a few random words everynow and then.

I used to play Socom Confrontation and I'd get kicked from games for several reasons. 1. I wasn't good enough for them/died too much. 2. I didn't play as they thought I should, I had to follow them around and do exactly as they said (Real fun:roll) 3. They wanted to kick me so they could let one of their buddies join the game. 4. I accidentally killed one of them with a grenade I threw over a wall at an enemy and they were nearby or they got caught in my cross fire.
