About the installing: The Playstation 3 is a COMPUTER entertainment system, while the Xbox 360 is a video game entertainment system.
Besides, the 360's going to use optional installs from now on, with the NXE thing. (But why would they do that anyway? I thought people hated those..)
None of that bothers me ..
Buy another controller .. then you can charge one while playing .. I also charge mine while watching movies ..
Installs don't bother me either because I can do things in the meantime, like read the manual so I can get the controls down .. get my snack, get a drink .. and get confortable in my seat ..
My HDMI cable cost me like 5 bucks ..

Hold on your upset at the charging with the playstation????? are you serious
360 has batteries...lol... and if you get that charger thingy you cant play the 360 at all cause your battery is charging
unless you get that cord thing.
Â
Then you have to pay for online
Then you have to pay for an expensive microsoft only hard drive if you want to up upgrade
Â
My point i am getting at is that you are just being nickeled and dimed when you get a 360 I feel.
Â
I still will get one eventually, but yea If I was to do everything I did to my PS3 with a 360 I doubt I would even have any games...lol
Â
I do agree though the whole MGSO thing is dumb, but yet I love the game to much both the online and single player are perfect FOR ME!!!!
So I can't say anything bad about it.....Â
Well... the 2 feet long cable isn't a problem at all because the Sixaxis/Dualshock 3 controller only takes 30 minutes to charge and the battery lasts for 30 hours. so you could leave the controller charging while you go take a crap or while you're eating, the controlled does not need to be plugged in, in order to play, it happens to be wireless
I must concur with you with the MGO thing, i remember the frist time i setup the konami ID and stuff, just the update for MGO took over 1 hour until it installed, but that's konami's fault, not Sony's.
and about the HDMI cable.... i think they should replace the ethernet cable with a HDMI cable, but if they don't its alright because most of the buyers don't own a HDTV, like me, when i first bought my PS3 i didn't have an HDTV, now i do, and i bought a $15 cable along with the TV.
so you prefer the xbox giving a hdmi cable and not wireless. when ps3 comes built with wireless and xbox charges 100 bucks for it ?railroberto2007OMG are you serious xbox charges you $100 for wireless.... well I guess I will add that to my points of microsoft nickel and diming you to death
I agree about MGSO, konami was stupid about it. As far as the HDMI i don't think its a big deal I bought a really good gold-plated HDMI for $13. so if you know where to look its not a problem still would like it bundled though. most of the games i have don't have required installs anyway but if they are optional I always do. MGS4 was the only install that bothered me because there were 3 people playing it and we were all on different parts, so there was an install everytime someone played.
Â
As far as paying for online i would never do it, its not worth it for me, I play online occasionally but not enough to warrant the charge.

ya thats right the xbox brand attachment to make a 360 wireless costs 100 bucks, a hard drive for it around 100 bucks also that brings their arcade system from 199 to 399. sooo why do all the xbox fanboys keep running their mouth about the systems price point.
