no not that much ( as for me because i live in UAE) but with some searching u can get a good price( i bought my 40gb ps3 about 320$ 6 months ago) but when u say x360 it is really expensive my bro bought x360 elite recently by 490$
I live in Holland, a ps3 80GB with 2 games cost 400euro... in American dollars that's around $550 and games are around 60euro's.. so $85.. used to be cheaper but with the crisis n all..
As usual we get totally ripped off in the uk... When the system launched it was around £425 - at the time you were getting jsut under $2 to the £ so double those figures to get the approx cost in US $ (today that equates to around $698 )
Just now it currently at around £299 which at todays rates is $491.21
Here on Brazil a PS3 costs around U$ 1200~1400 and a game its around U$ 100-120...=(

That sucks. I know the UK gets ripped off too. They pay more and always are left out with updates on the PSN.
And we, as well as the rest of europe get stiffed with the release dates, we had to wait an extra 4 months for the console to be released here :(
Game prices are comparable thou...i think... A game usually costs between £35 - £40 ($57 - $65) ... Places like play.com and amazon are good though you can pick up games for less than £25 sometimes ($41)
