PS3 internet surfing WTF is up.

One of the reasons I got a PS3 is the fact thatit has "full internet browsing capabilities."Now that I haveone that seems not to be the case.

When I tryto watchmovie clips it says "this application is not supported. Sometimes it will let me Save it to the Harddrive, but normally it will not even bring that option up.Also websites that need shockwave or different flash players do not work. Yes I have the most current update.

Someone please Help I love my PS3 but this is driving me insane.

P.S.is there a way to right click.

I'm having another issue...all of a sudden, my sixaxis can't be used to control dvd playback, and i can't control the character in ps2's manhunt.

tried everything, turning the controller/sysetm off/on.

i hear that there's some issue with all rockstar games, buti dunno...still pisses me off about the dvd playback

hopefully i just need a new controller, and it's not an issue due to a firmware update...seems a bit too early for me to be replacing a slightly used controller tho...wtf

Dude, the PS3 browser is a nice EXTRA feature, but it shouldn't be thought of as a replacement for your PC browser.I would suggest getting a wired or wireless keyboard and mouse....that might make things a little more easier for you.

Yes, you can - BUT - depending on the distro you use, and the version of that distro you may have to download some needed packages to be able to first decode, and then play the movies. Linux on PS3 isn't an end all solution to the browser of the PS3 OS being crappy, you still have to know WTF you're doing with the OS.

Dude, take some happy meds and chill out. Your controller is probably not charged, or you need to make sure you have the 2.01 update. If neither, then turn off the PS3, and hold your finder down on the power when you turn it back on to reset it to factory settings (NO, it won't erase anything on the hard drive, it's just the settings) and see if that helps. Getting pissed off without trying to research a solution only leaves you with being pissed off, which then can lead to a PS3 being thrown around, and none of us want that.

Dude, take some happy meds and chill out. Your controller is probably not charged, or you need to make sure you have the 2.01 update. If neither, then turn off the PS3, and hold your finder down on the power when you turn it back on to reset it to factory settings (NO, it won't erase anything on the hard drive, it's just the settings) and see if that helps. gee, have you ever asked for help before? You should try maybe being appreciative even if a suggestion doesn't work. Here's the best suggestion to someone like you who has no technical expertise -grab all your PS3 equipment, cables and all. Get the box and package and put them all in, nice and snug - package it and send it back to Sony. You don't deserver to have one if you can't figure things out for yourself and act like a child when someone offers help.

the ps3 doesnt support .flv files so movie clips probs wont play unless in sony format, and shockwave isnt in the firmware, i think, or it isnt up 2date, why not use your PC?linkinworm
