i've tried it and it worked but it doesn't work when your playing games. what i did was i plugged in my 30GB iPod Video, go under music, and you'll see that your ipod will show up. highlight it and press triangle, display all and some folders will pop up. just look through them all and i'm sure you'll find some of your mp3's. but for mine all my songs are scrambled up in so many folders i didn't even bother. all that counts is it works. check it out.
just plaug in ur ipod, press traingle and force the ps3 to read it, then copy, that how i moved all my music to my ps3 its easy! ucan also just paly it from ur ipod when its connected (usb port)

you can but if u brought the songs off of itunes the ps3 is not able to play the songs. Also the ps3 doesnt support the use of custom music during gameplay.

no you can use your ps3 to play itones just use a blank disc in fact i used my ps3 to convert itunes into psp conpatible mp3s

Thats crazy dude, i just asked the same question in a new topic of my own at the same time. Havent had much love for my PS3 so i thought i'd see how i go with music.. so i plugged in my iPod... and.... my PS3 froze.... Piece. of. ****
I had no trouble dumping my Ipod Mini onto my PS3 harddrive. just select "display all" and then copy, the PS3 will do the rest :)sigma_ii
Hey there, I have the nano. Any idea how to get it working? I plugg it in and my PS3 freezes so that I can only operate it if i turn it off/on from the back. It a new new one 8gb. I have tried plugging it in to the USB port from the main menu under games or while the music icon is selected etc. Nothing, nada, zilch. If you or anyone knows, please tell.
