believe me i didn't mean to do something this stupid but while i was unplugging my playstation 3 my TV fell foward and landed on it, its a big tv. I was so worried that i had broken it but when i hooked it back up everything was in order. Not even a scratch on the machine itself! i was really suprised but that won't stop me taking care of it.
Yah man, ps3 is a tank. Havent had anything like that happen to me, thank god...But i read in some article a while back concerning the PS3's stress tests. Man o man, was it high. They ran it for a looong time..and everything was good.
The PS3 is built to last. There was someone on here a while back talking about how he took his on a tour of duty in the middle east and it just kept going and going even with all the abuse it went through.
it was my second week with my ps3 i left it on top of my tv because i was stealing sum1 wireless and that the only spot i would get a connection when i came home my mom had told me that it fell of my tv and when i look at it there was two dent in the back of it but that was all i turned it on and it worked perfect
I was trying to disconect it from the wall outlet thingy and I was too lazy to move my speakers reciever so I just reached over it and pulled. It wouldn't disconnect, so I wiggled it out. Then I got shocked, and it hurt. But it was well worth it because I moved it from the 23in TV in my room to the 53in in my living room.
My PS3 has been known to pick up small, helpless old woman and throw them across my street when I'm not keeping a close eye on it. It also once challenged Mike Tyson to a boxing match...and would have won, had Tyson not given it a cheap shot right in the USB slots!

I had my PS3 is its case while moving. My girlfriend put the bag in my car, but accidently put it on top of some stuff. When I opened my trunk, the case fell from my car and landed on the ground. The PS3 took a pretty bad fall. It ended up getting slightly dented on the edge, but that's all...it's kind of an eye sore, but it still works prefectly.
Overall, the machine is very well designed and well built. I'm quite happy with it.
Now all of you with experience now what to do if a robber goes into your house. Instead of going for a knife or a hammer, go for the PS3. Said bastard won't even know what hit him, but he'll sure as hell feel it later when he wakes up at the 5-0 place:lol:
lol. Nothing ever happened to mine (fingers crossed). Although I carpet fuz stuck on the one corner of it. I hate the things that only you notice and no one else

I have my PS3 sitting next to a shelf. Somehow an alarm clock fell of the top and the way things turned out, the PS3 broke the alarm clock. PS3 1 Alarm Clock 0
I own a 360 and i am getting a PS3 for xmas, i watched the videos and yeah, the ps3 takes more of a beating but the 360 ain't weak! i dropped it off my shelf before and it survived!Xternal

I too am glad that the PS3 is indeed strong, especially after all my years of having dealt with "Disk Read Error" messages on my PS1 and PS2's. I guess I was one of the unlucky ones last gen...

You have the same avatar as me, well almost, its just a different angle or something. Also I havent dropped anything on my ps3 yet and hopefully something like that will never happen.
