PS3 - It freezes every now and then! Can someone help?

I have a PS3 and (cod4, ac, rs:v and fifa 08),

I play the games and after I start it up the game seems to freeze, not always but sometimes and is really annoying;

Could it be something to do with it getting to hot?

CAN ANYONE HELP PLEASE?

yup freezing is normal, on certain games (Unreal Tournament 3) it freezes more often. The only thing bad about this is it gets really annoying closing the PS3 and restarting it and then restarting the game.

try to keep it in an open breathable area.. you are most probably likely to freeze if your ps3 is too hot
but there are some games that has some issues and freeze (ut3-unfixed, ac-fixed, etc.) but i don't think its the ps3's fault :)

you have more of a chance of it freezing online than offline. Sometimes when I check my Orange Box TF2 ranking, it'll freeze up and I'll have to turn it off, but that's just a minor problem really. I've had no major problems with it freezing or turning off really.

How is it normal? mine has never frozen, either i'm really luck or everyone else is really unlucky...

My friends 80gb has frozen quite a bit hes told me

I myself have only frozen 1 time in the yr i have had my 60gb

Mine has frozen while playing COD4 three times and Stranglehold once in the past month. If it happens twice more I'm going to contact Sony to take up the warranty.
