I am planning to design a keyboard for the PS3 for my DT IGCSE. So far I have thought of PS3 Specific keys and its going to be backlit. Just want to hear any design ideas you guys have (anything, no matter how strange).

do you mean a stand alone keyboard or one that attaches to the controller?

No matter how strange eh?

Is there a way to make it so that crumbs from food doesn't get into your keyboard without using those ugly plastic sheets? I mean, I like eating chips and gaming, but hate crumbs in my keyboard.

How about if the keyboard shouted encouragement at you? "YEAH! YOU THE MAN! YOU PRESS THAT SPACE BAR LIKE A PRO!"

Install a can opener on its side.

Have a miniature piano underneath the keys so that I can use it for music programs.

Napkin slot.

Headphone and USB jack.

The lights dance around to music.

Mini LCD moniter installed on top of it showing me anime as I game.

Backlit is awesome, backlight that responds to the action in the game, is double awesomeness.

it is standalone. i will add to the design that it will crumb-proof, have a napkin slot and possibly a dynamic backlight, maybe even a can opener. unfortunately a can't add a mouse (but i will try when it comes to making it).
