I can confirm that this is true, or at least Sony sending out a questionairre.

I received one a few months back but it seems like people in Europe are receiving them now via email.

I'm apart of the PS Underground and am also in the Gamers Advisory Panel.

I can't post the exact questions, but can confirm the questions were asked.

well, they are already copying xbox live by calling it PS3 Live. ShackPickle

if you havent realized it yet, online has become a HUGE part of gaming consoles. taking a step back into the past with the ps3 by not having online would be the equivelent of buying a ps1 with much much better graphics. so if your even dumb enough to think for a second that there will be no online play whatsoever for the PS3 you know nothing.

p.s why would sony abandon online play after they have it on the ps2?

now remember.. Xbox 1 came out a year later then the ps2.. becuz of that the xbox had better graphics a hard disk and the xbox live thing.. microsoft just bought the ps2 examined it.. looked at the possibilities and made the xbox just a little bit better... this time it's the other way around.. and ps2 was the first console that had the online capabilities right? now it;s round 2 and sony had the time 2 make a good online support.. my thoughts are that sony made the list of questions on purpose just 2 get us thinkin they were making a good onlin support while they already have developed it.. just like the little info we have on gamplay movies.. and the cell processor.. soon they will just blow us all away with all the info they can give on 1 day... (at least i hope.. :P)

it would definately be cool..! it would be so much better then what they have now..! i only hope they come with sometjhing unique instead of just copying it from the xbox live..Misterhon
