hey does anyones ps3 get extremely loud? i have the MGS4 bundle 80gig and my ps3 gets really loud and hot. My brother has the 60gig and it doesnt make a sound. Is there any way to make it quiet or is my ps3 just being gay lol
yea it is. it starts off silent but in like 10 minutes it gets really loud. What should i do any advice? madden118
id like to know if anyone has the same problem to because i have the exact same problem with the exact same console, i have the 80 gig metal gear bundle. i especialy note it when i sometimes play it with my volume off. maybe it's just the 80 gigs, who knows. id like to see how others ps3s are

mine is silent for about 2 hours, then i can start hearing the fan if you just bought it, sony will replace it, if you say "it freezes on about 30min of play"
My MGS 80GB is loud, almost immediately after turning it on the fan is running and humming like a mofo. I'm under warranty until Aug '09 so I'm just going to use it like I stole it, and maybe give Sony a call before expiry and see if they'll take a look at it, if it hasn't crapped itself by then.
I have the 80 gig MGS4 bundle console and it doesn't make a sound. When I first got it I put in on a shelf but it heated up so I moved it so it would be out in the open. So far no problems. I also have it on end.
i think it's dust , my old computer used to be quiet until i put it in my basement, since the basement isn't finish it collect a lot of dust, and the computer became noisy, same thing with my cuz 60 gb ps3, mine is find cause i left in my room
