PS3 Memory Card adaptor ... will it?

Hi I have a PAL PS3 would the memory card adaptor work on my PS3 if it was NTSC ?

I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't, since it's entirely possible to have saves from NTSC and PAL games on the same memory card.

On a somewhat related note, does anyone know if there will be any kind of adapter so that we can hook PS1/2 controllers into a PS3 and (reasonably) expect them to work? I (IMO) hate the feel of the SIXAXIS in my hand compared to more solid feel of the prior-gen controllers.
