Recently when I go to send a message I got from a friend, the PS3 freezes at the screen and I can't do anything but turn off my controller or PS3. This happens a lot during games, does anyone else have this problem or some solutions?
my ps3 does the same damn thing. it only happens after hours of gameplay. my suggestion is that you take a break and let the thing cool off. my ps3 does that most when it gets super extra hot. cuz when i first turn it on it doesn't freeze at all for the first couple of hours.

My PS3 is open to the air in 3 feet in all directions so, it's not a matter of overheating for me. :D

i have it on most of the day & the room i am in heats up the room after a couple of hours. it can still heat up in the inside. but i never had my system completely fried up/overheated on me though either. :D
it happends to me, but its just a lag spike and if u wait a few mins it will go away..u could also try deleting yur msg box or even making a purchase of the auxillary fan for yur ps3.
yea im having the same problem... only the system isnt completely freezing. so far it only happens when im browsing the internet. for instance, i go to google and try to type somethin in, the txt window pops up but i cant type anything. ive noticed though that if you press up down left and right you can still move the arrow around in the background. even go and click on a link and go to another page. the txt window is just frozen in front of the browser and you cant see what your doing. but yea i cant exit the browser and nothing happens when i move the cursor to another box and try to input txt. always have to turn the system off and then on again. and yea sometimes happens after hours and sometimes after just a few minutes. ive heard its from not letting the page load, having to many cookies, cache, and messages, but idk for sure. maybe the next update will patch it up hopefully.
