Hi everyone! I currently own a 360, but soon, i'm planning to trade it for a PS3. What i want to know is if the PS3 is able to stream music directly from my computer like a do with my 360?
Thanks!

it doesnt take as long as you think i transfered all my albums over in about 5 or 10 mins and i have over 8gb of musicd_ano
So everytime you get new music you have to copy and transfer it to the PS3? It's so much easier to have allyour music in one locationand stream it to the PS3. The only problem with the PS3 streaming is it cannot play play-for-sure music and that sucks.
One more thing you can choose to save songs to the PS3 - so you stream things over want to save some on the PS3 and you just do it. I heard you can't do this on the 360 - not sure if that is correct or not.
Several threads about it her about 2 weeks ago so go back and search if you have problem once you buy the ps3. I think it is best to search windows media player or wma11 (you have to have version 11)

The Firmware update 1.80 enabled the feature for the PS3 to stream music fromyour PC to the PS3. You do this through Windows Media Player 11.
Go to http://www.us.playstation.com/Support/PS3/Manuals
To look at the constantly updated PS3 manual. You'll find all the information you can handle on what exactly the PS3 can do.
What i mean, is if i can use the PS3 to play music which is in my computer HDD.Iceman029
Yes you can stream music, pictures, and videos to your PS3 from your computer. I personally like the way it works on the PS3 much better because you can also you it to transfer your media files. I personally convert my dvd's with a program to 1080p the videos turn out to be in the 10gb range so I obviously don't have a usb flash drive large enough to fit it on. So I just use the PS3's media streaming, go to videos find it and then copy! it works great!
