ps3 noob !

can you here music plus play games at the same time ?

I never tried, but you just have to take an Ipod plug the earphones in your ears and play your game on the PS3... That's all

But seriously never heard of any parallel between music and gaming and I never looked because I like to hear what I play

Only certain games allow this like Burnout Paradise, Midnight Club LA, Motorstorm Pacific Rift, Shaun White Snowboarding, Bayonetta. There is more but not every game does not let you play your own music in game.

And Burn Zombie Burn!, both of which I own. Nothing like blasting zombies to White Zombie :P

As for the noting of being mostly racing games, not entirely true. Killzone 2 also has custom soundtracks. If it's really that big a deal and you have the money and do like I did. I have a surround sound system that has an iPod dock. Worse comes to worse, I can just play music through the surround sound and switch my game to the TV speakers, no big deal.

they seriously need to fix this, its got 8 cpu's but i cant play my tracks and then start a game up?? i cant surf the web for a game guide while im in a game??

this is rediculous, one of the only things i hate about the ps3, i swear the only multitasking it will do is allow u to send messages while in game

I should be able to start my playlist of 300 songs on shuffle, get into any game i want, turn down the games music and hear my own. this would be an easy fix SONY!!

Actually its not Sony's problem, its the Developers. Sony allowed them to do it now its up to them to actually put it in. On certain games it does work like Killzone 2, new sports games and bunch listed above. There is a lot more i just can't remeber them right now
