PS3 not similar situation as PS2??

Majority of people tell me that with PS2 even within the first year there were whole bunch like 70 games came out but I tell you what unitl the week of June All I will be playing is:

Motor storm

Warhawk

Havenly Sword

The Darkness

Rainbox Vegas

Fear

Virtual Tennis 3

I am happy with this but some people play more games than others Question

1. Are you happy with the AMOUNT if games coming out until June

2. Is PS2 thing true that more than 80 games came out in 1st year

3. would you be adding more to ur list than what i  Got

I am happy with what is coming out so far. If too many games come out all at once than it makes it harder on which ones to get first.I don't actually have my PS3 yet but I'm buying it on March 2nd. These are the games I'd like to get.

1) Virtua Fighter 5

2) F1 Championship Edition

3) Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

4) Sega Rally Revo

5) Resistance: Fall Of Man

6) Devil May Cry 4

7) Final Fantasy XIII

And more as they come out.I already have 24 PS2 games, 6 Dreamcast and 7 Saturn games. So I don't exactly need to buy up lots of PS3 games all at once.Just one or 2 every couple of months is fine for me.

No, not really. I had hoped we'd have better games out by now, and more good ones upcoming in the first part of this year.

Yes, and my positive experience with the PS2 was a big factor in why I chose to go ahead and get a PS3. The problem is, previous PlayStation launches got the system out in Japan several months earlier than we did in the U.S., and while that did mean that we had to wait, it also seems to have led to a much better selection of quality games for us, once we did have the consoles available here. By the time the PS2 was widely available here, developers had several months more time with the dev kits and finished consoles, and as a result we ended up with a lot better selection of games than we have at this point for the PS3.

People may deride the PS2 games that were available as being "Japanese" games, but it's a Japanese company and console we're talking about here. And for my taste, a great many of the best PS2 titles, both old and new, were developed by Japanese developers. They are the kinds of games that made the PS2 such a great console for me, and which seem to be lacking or absent altogether on the PS3's short-term schedule so far. From my point of view right now, it looks like the PS3 is following much more along the lines of the kinds of games that the Xbox/X360 has always concentrated on, rather than the traditional PlayStation strengths. For my gaming tastes that's very disappointing, if that's what I wanted to play, I'd have a X360 instead. Hopefully this will change as time goes on, and we'll see fewer ports and more of the diversity in games that we're used to on a Sony console.

No, most of what I'm really interested in will apparently not be out by then, looks like the 2nd half of the year holds more hope. You have a few titles on your list that probably won't make mine, in fact. Rainbow 6 Vegas, F.E.A.R., etc. are PC games for me. Looking forward to Motorstorm and Heavenly Sword, I'll also pick up VF5. Most of the rest that I really want won't be out until much later this year.
