I would like to hook my [future] PS3 up to my LCD monitor. I was told it needed to be HDCP compliant.

I can't find whether or not if my monitor is HDCP. It says 15 pin HD D-Sub (HD-15), 1 xDVI-D - 24 pin digital DVI and CE, CSA, GOST, SEMKO, C-Tick, IEC950, TUV GS, TCO '03, UL 1950, VCCI-II, ISO 9241-3, ISO 9241-7, ISO 9241-8, EPA Energy Star, FCC Class B certified. The highest resolution is 1280x1024. Is this compliant with the PS3? The monitor is L1932TQ.

The max resolution of the monitor is 1280x1024. Will this work? Will the video stretch? Will it letterbox? Thank you for the assistance.

Are you saying i need a converter box or a simple HDMI to DVI cable? So my monitor is HDCP compliant?

If your monitor says Vista compliant on it anywhere then it's HDCP compliant.

I wouldn't think it is HDCP compliant, most of them are widescreen.

The model is the LG L1932TQ-BF. A friend thought that DVI-D meant HDCP, but he didnt seem too sure.

Doesn't seem so, besides if it is hdcp-compliant, you would know since they would have advertise that to death. My brother's acer moniter is HDCP-compliant, and there's a huge Sticker in the front to remind him of it.

I just used the Cyberlink BluRay Advisor software; it determined that my monitor is not HDCP compliant. Thank you all for the help.
