PS3 online community question

I'm thinking about buying a PS3 but am wondering how the online community works. I'm a Nintendo fan and I really like sharing screen shots on Miiverse. Is there a way to share screen shots on PS3? Are there message boards akin to what is available with Miiverse? Any info is much appreciated.

Screenshots are PS4 only unless the game has that feature (GT6, GTA etc)

the ps3 and xbox 360 most likely won't be supported for much longer. developers are trying to release multiplat games on the ps4, xbox one, and pc now. i'd say save your money and buy a ps4

and @wheatfuji, why are you telling him to go with the pc or xbox one on a playstation forum? thats pretty much asking for a system war.

I'm sure he means significantly supported. We won't be seeing a ton of cross-gen games in 2015, and surely there will be even less than 2016. I guess it depends on what your definition of "supported' is, but I suppose as far as online functioning and game releases go (even if they're just sports titles and whatnot), then sure, the PS3 has some years ahead of it.

and if you actually did more research you'd realize that the ps2 stopped being supported pretty much everywhere except japan a long time ago. the only games the ps2 was still getting outside of japan were from ea and after a while, even they stopped releasing ps2 games. and stop with the kid bs. i'm not a kid and you don't even know me so don't act like you do. calling someone a kid because you disagree is the lamest insult i've ever seen. how would you like it if i called you the n word even though i don't know you? i bet you wouldn't like it very much. don't throw insults if you don't want to be insulted right back.

So Silent Hill and Syphon Filter aren't games for the PS2, which happened to release in 2010, a full 3 yrs after the PS3 was released...

And just to put the icing on the cake, Final Fantasy 11: Seekers of Adoulin came out in 2013 on the...PS2, so please do your research before trying to post a reply to a question.

@GTR12: doesn't change the fact that the system hasn't been supported for a while. the ps3 may be supported for 5 years but not 10 more years. devs are already trying to eliminate the 360 and ps3 so they can create better games. i don't even own call of duty or battlefield and don't want them so based on your fps comment, i'm just going to assume you're the one that plays "macho bro fps games". how many major retailers like gamestop, best buy, walmart, etc. have you seen selling ps2 games in the past few years? none. i haven't seen a single new ps2 game at any major retailers around me in years. not even the ones you mentioned.

So just because its not sold in America, it doesn't exist, yeah grow up child...

And if you haven't realised, this is a PlayStation board, no-one cares about those other things you mentioned.

i don't care if other people care about what i said or not. i'm not talking to them, i'm talking to you. and i never said internationally. i don't live in china or japan or any of the other foreign countries so i don't know how they do things but what i do know is that the ps2 stopped being supported where i live long before sony stopped making the system entirely. you keep using the lame child insult but i'm not the one who needs to grow up. now if you're done acting like a child (note: i said ACTING like a child, not calling you a child) and prolonging this argument, i'm going to go back to watching house m.d.

K go back to Netflix and your wall store while the rest of us will buy games of the internet, ebay, amazon and the like.
