Ps3 online profile question

as i've heard, ps3 online allows only one profile to go online for free...there's already an online profile on mine...can i delete all profiles on the ps3 including the online one, make a new single profile and go online for free with it?

Just create a new user on the far left of the xmb and then create a new psn as you would for your main account. All free you just need a different email address

You might have been confused because you can only play online with one profile at a time. If you're playing splitscreen, only one person will get credit for trophies, etc.
