PS3 or PC ok plz help me

I am sure you guys get this alot, but I am a little.....Well I am thinking of getting a new PC i will have about 1 Grand to drop on a PC. And here is my question should I buy a PS3 or a PC. I mean GT5 I have been a racing fan for a long time. I loved thoses games on my PS2 and now i got a 360. Not the best racing games, also I hear that the next PS3 will be realesed in 2014. Thats after 2012 when the world is supposed to go insane. So a console to the end of time would be cool!

Just wanted some honest thoughts about what i should buy. After reading the paragraph above, and take into thought that i like Killzone and wasn't that really happy with halo after a month. Just tell me what would be the best fit for me.

Also I hear this crazy thing that PS3 online is FREE! You guys think i am dumb don't you microsoft got me with Sliver crap and I ain't going to fall for it again tell me the TRUTH!

first off im going to say that by posting here your results will undoubtedly be biased. With that said im going to say its up to you to decide what you want, we can only sway your decision not make it for you. Both have their own benefits and faults

Cost:

Ps3 is a one time fee of about 400 bucks while a good PC will most likely go for double or even triple

also with a PC you will have to update you hardware from time to time but with a console its always going to be the same unless you upgrade your memory and even that should usually be a 1 time thing.

Console gaming is a much cheaper alternative to PC gaming but PC does have a wider variety of games that dont exactly work with consoles.

If you like the games coming out for a ps3 then go for it, especially with the 08 lineup.

And PS3 online is FREE no silver or gold crap. Although the downside is its not as good as XBL but hopefully that witll change with the introduction of Home (also free). If you dont know what home is Youtube it.

Definitely go with the PS3. I spent around $1500 including monitor and everything on a new PC back in January, and honestly I play my PS3 much more. The only PC games I have is Crysis and Supreme Commander. My PC already seems outdated when I go on the PC forums and see the rigs people are putting together now.cmpepper23

From what I could decipher of your little rant I can only provide the following answers in no particular order.

1.Get a PS3 if you are going to game. $1000 will not get you a high spec PC to game on. Don't bother if you don't have more to spend on PC gaming.

2.The world is going to end in 2012? I may not be here to see 2012, but I'm fairly certain the world will still be here in 4 years. No Armageddon on the horizon.....stop reading those weird prophecy books at the library.

3.Games? Depends on what you like. You seem to like shooters and racing. The PS3 has plenty of great games in both genres. You would be happy with that.

4.As long as you pay your monthly internet service provider bill (I wanted to use ISP so badly......but I knew you would get lost and draw a bunny on me.) then you can play on Playsation Network for FREE. There is no gimmick. It is not a lie or a grand sceme to "steel" your "moneys".

Yea I'm thinking of swithing to XP. I see all these people running Crysis anywhere from 40 to 60 fps on medium/high, and mine is only running at 20 to 30 fps. It still plays well, but sometimes gets a little choppy. I think I should try another FPS like The Orange Box or something. Also I'm not a PC expert by no means so hopefully when I learn how to OC my processor and GPU, my performance will increase.

1) Online is free. No joke.

2) Ive never been a pc gamer, although I love AvP2, so I say PS3.
