PS3 owners with mics?

I was just wondering how many PS3 owns here at gamespot actually have mics for the PS3. I recently bought a mic and i feel like it's been the most usless accessory i've bought for the PS3. so if you have a mic you should list your PSN id.

My PSN id = lstreak; the first letter is a L not an I.

The games i've been playing recently are SFIV and Killzone 2.

I have a mic but sometimes it is best not to even take the effort to turn it on.I either turn it on and get into a room of idiots who talk trash or a room with people with no mics.K1LLR3175

Exactly, i usualy just play killzone 2 and Resistance 2 online and i must say; Killzone 2s online community reminds me of the halo 2 days as far as kids and trash talkers are concerned. Thus why i usualy keep my mic off unless im with a friend(s). If anyone wants to play the aforementiond gamesonline feel free to add me ^_^!

i have a mic and use it.. for the trash talkers i agree with whatever they say, then they usually shut up because they can't say anything else.. i don't know why people get offended by what they say in my case what they say is never true, but i agree they are very annoying..

EDIT - complainers are the worst, i normally just tell them to shut up so they complain more lol.. i will however turn my mic off if some ignorant person is blasting music, but i only had that happen a few times..

Andro729. Add me if you want. I have a mic and use it all the time. I've been playing Killzone 2 a lot. I have atleast one PSN friend I talk to and strategize with on that game. I think Killzone 2 is an exception to what you are talking about, most of the time people have mics and use them in that game. Oh, and I also like MGO.

I have the official Sony one but really only use it for R2 co-op. Anything competitive is typically just trash talk and whining so no point in using it for that.emitsu97

I have the PS camera with built-in mic on all 3 of my PS3s for room chat and I have a wired USB mic and the Sony Blutooth mic that comes with Socom for private chat.

In Socom Confrontation 13/14 players have mics. In Burnout Paradise most have mics online and alot of people in geeneral do when I'm gaming online with which ever game I play.

I have one, but hardly uses it mainly because I'm not playing with real life friends so there's no point speaking most won't listen anyway.glenn2709

Try making friends with people gaming online and then you'll talk more. It depends on the game but it can be fun.

I have one and I dont even like playing online except for Socom because that is the only game people use mics in. I play a game of Resistance and like 2 people may have mics in the 8 player co-op which sucks because it really hurts the squad.wooooode

Like I always say, feel free to add me, I have a mic, but I only use it a bit (to tell the trash talkers to shut the **** up and stop talking to themselves) and say you got my PSN from this website.

I only use my mic on codwaw. I turn it on and set it on the counter so I don't have to listen to all the idiots talk on my surround sound. Its like a wonderful idiotproof mute button.

thanks for all the responses guys. just out of curiosity, is socom: confrontation any good? i heard that a lot of patches have made the game much more enjoyable. i've never actually played a socom game before but i have played a lot of CODwaw. So should i get socom? like is it similar to world at war?

same here, i can't wait for RE5 to come out, it was also another reason i got my mic as well lol.

I play a TON and I mean a ton of Resistance 2 , I have two mics but prefer the hardwire one the old USB playstation mic. Alot of times I dont even put it on for the fact I have never seen a co-op room were people use them to talk about the game. Its either trash talk or that one person that leaves it on and you hear everything in there house. I would love to get a group with mics that use them...
