As someone who can run Crysis very, very well at a very high res, I'm extremely comfortable in saying that no console game this generation will come close.

The textures, the physics, the FPS, and the resolution that a PC can display is far beyond the capabilities of a console.

You do know that KillZone 2 is one of the first console games to have online multiplayer that doesnt tone down the graphics. In other words the single player looks just like the multiplayer.soulfood4

Killzone 2 = console = cannot swap out gpu. Amazing visuals

Crysis = PC = swap out gpu for better GFX. Amazing visuals

The TC brought up a comparison that I disagreed with him on.  Of course a game will eventually surpass Crysis, but it won't be a current gen console game, that's for sure.

Interesting to see I'm not the only one who thinks so. I think IGN actually said it was the best looking FPS to date, which is indirectly saying it looks better than Crysis. This isn't a new reaction for a PS3 game, since MGS4 was also compared to Crysis graphically. I think KZ2 is going beyond MGS4's graphics though... amazing.

Crysis comparisons aside, I have high hopes for K2.  No doubt it looks incredible, and I truly expect it to be an awesome shooter.

still looks and feels like a mediocer games.  on a technical level i no doubt agree that killzone 2 looks really good and defiently above what we've seen before. but i think while it looks better it doesn't do anything different its like were now stuck in one type of gritty art direction for shooters and its starting to get old. 

why can't they do something different. i think personally that little big planet looks better then killzone two, it uses the tech and then adds a whole new unique art direction. also what about the gameplay, they almost never talk about it, its always about the graphics. if there weren't a beta i wouldnt be suprised if the game came out and it was just one big ingame cutscene.

ig uess ill never understand what the excitment around this game came from, it just looks so average to me and so far other then really good graphics i see nothing in it that distinguishes it from any other shooter.
