Hello all,

I am soon to be buying a PS3 and would like a little help. I have a small Home entertainment system with enough room for the PS3 to go vertical next to my tv. Problem is that i am not sure if the PS3 can go vertical at all? Any suggestions and thanks again! :D

Got mine horizontal but I have tried both. Just don't trust £400 worth of hardware falling over!

mine is vertical because it is more out of the way and if I put it horizontal one of the vents would be partially blocked.  If you are worried about it falling you can buy a ps3 stand for about 15 bucks i think.  It will make it a little more secure.  Or you can do what I do put it on the ground on carpet.  Dont think a 6 in fall to carpet will break it.

Whoa how is carpet dangerous all the fan are pointing out and it never gets warm. The fan doesnt even kick in to high. Did Sony say to put it on something hard or is that just advice?

Not sure about anyone else, but carpet is prone to static eletricity. I for one would not, (and do not), put any eletronic device directly in contact with carpet.
