Ps3 Power Problem?

Just turned my PS3 on... and not 2 minutes later it powered down! Wasn't a power surge as everything else stayed on.. Now there are no stand-by lights, so I assume its a power problem. Tried it in a different outlet and whatnot, but no luck.

Is it bound to be returned for warranty? Or is there anything else I can try before hand?

Did you try wiggling the plug end going into the PS3?

This happened to my friend not 3 minutes after he got COD4 sorry to say but it is dead, call sony they will help you. No worrys only 6 weeks for you to send it and them to send you a new one.
