I was out of town during e3, so I missed a lot of news.

I downloaded and watched the SCEA press conference and noticed that they said they were making the current 40GB system($399) into an 80GB system in september.

Does this mean that the current 80GB system will have some sort of upgrade to it when this happens, or is there other differences that separate the two models.

My guess is now isn't a good time to buy a ps3, since I will get a better deal if I wait until september.

Thanks

The current 80GB has BC. The new 80GB is just a 40GB, except with twice the HDD.
