ps3 problem please help

well first of all i don't have an hdtv. and i'm not sure if that has anything to do with the problem. but anyways the problem i'm having with my ps3 is there's always these lines going up the screen and also a constant buzzing sound coming out of the speakers.

and this is only with the ps3. when i use my 360, wii, dvd player or just watch tv everything is fine. i tried messing around with the display and audio options on the ps3 but none of them were helpful.

and i also made sure everything is fully plugged in the right way so yeah i'm stumped. only thing i could think of is maybe the ps3 is too pro for my tv and i need to get an hdtv for the lines and buzzing to go away. but i kinda doubt that too.

how are you connecting the ps3 to your t.v and speaker

well if you are using the av plugs it probably means

there is electrical interference or you need a new cable

i doubt it is something wrong with the ps3 it just the cable
