PS3 problem's

I was just gonna say that.

The PS3 supports all regions for PS3 games only. Sadly it is region locked for PS1 and PS2 games.

But I do offer a fringes of the law solution to your issue. Depending on your moral ground, it is up to you if you want to do it.

My suggestion is go to your local electronics place, buy a PS3, and return the japanese PS3 in the box you just got. If you do this from Walmart or such, they have a very loose return policy, satisfaction gaurenteed or your money back. Just tell them you dont like it and get your cash back.

I have done this a couple times when I had my 360 die, I got a new one, and my wife retured the old one in it's place. Screw warrenty work when there is Walmart :D

I just recently got a 20g PS3 (From Japan) for a house warming gift from one of my bestfriends. Anyway's the problem I'm having is that I can't play any of my PS2 game's on it. I thought the PS3 was suppose to play Ps2 game's? I evenwent out and bought the Madden 07 for PS2 (because the PS3 version is garbage) and it didn't work. It keepssaying wrong region code. Isn't the PS3 suppose to be region free? Even my DVD movies don't work in it unless it's a back up copy of the DVD(Assuming that the region code's are taken off). This is really pissing me off. PS3 will be better like in a couple years but it doesnt have as good as exclusives (unless you like final fantasy)jb_22vols

Everybody check out March 07 issue of EGM. I am going to wait this whole thing out and see. But do you guys really believe that things are as bad as they say, or is the media using a sort of advanced information warfare to keep us from buying this thing. Because frankly the only thing that keeps me from getting one is the price tag.

His right I have done this a couple of times, and they never say anything. Heck you can probably switch it with a 60GB and they wont even know.
