ps3 problems ?????

I put in a 500 gg hdd and it worked fine for about a month then like the last couple of weeks like every couple days when I try 2 start it it says cannot start cant dind correct hdd and every once in a while the thing pops up thats says hdmi connection found but I never unplugged it so idk do u think it will be ok cause if I turn the power off then hold the power till it beeps it works again it happened like 6 times or what should I do??????

try putting in you old one and see if that has any problems.
