Ps3 problems with 2.41...

well since i downloaded the 2.41 update my ps3 keeps frozing an me here and there but it has brozen way many times in a couple of days that in over a year i had my ps3..... am thinking about calling sony about this but i have the original 60gm ps3 and i dnt want to send it and get a 40gm ps3 wich is $399 when i pay $599 for my ps3........ What should i do?????????????/

yea last time i try starting COD4 and the game didnt start up also i try checking out the throphies and it just kept loading for ever i had to restart my ps3 so many time that is noteven funny anymore....lol

Well after I updated, the PS3 no longer reads game discs or blueray discs, only DVDs... I tried calling customer support, but after being put and hold and having a ring sound for 1 minute, the line went dead.

sometime it does frozen and i had to turned it off from the main switch and retry it,fortunately the 2nd time i tried was working! phew

Had the same problem with my launch 20 GB. Had to arrange out of warranty service for $150 after answering a few questions. Mine read Dvds and PS2 disk and older PS3 disk but would not read newer PS3 disk. Would like to know if it was the update or if older blurays not as reliable?
