PS3 PSN transfer help

Im RE-Buying a ps3. When I get my new ps3 again, i have a question,,, On my PSN Account, i was 7th prestige in MW2, and in killzone i was a General. And in other games i was good ranking too, but when i get my new ps3, am i still going to have all of those rankings if i use my old account? (the one with all the good ranks). I was gonna transfer my old account to my new ps3

You will keep your rankings. Your progress isn't stored locally. I bought a new ps3 when playing CoD MW and transfered my account onto that and all of the online stats were as before.

yes..most of your online progress in games is saved via your online account, but some games like the cod's save their online progress in the same singleplayer campaign savefile, so be cautious when deleating savefiles (it does install a savefile with your online progress automatically if you got no campaign file created).. but most online games save via your account and it'll update your online progresson toyour new ps3 automatically
