Hey guys, Christmas time is nearly upon us and I thought it would be a perfect time to to buy a PS3. I have a an xbox 360 and a PC(mid range at best), so the PS3 would be used solely for exclusives and blu-ray movies. I mean, PS3 exclusives look awesome, but when I can buy a fair share of games through the xmas steam sales or x360 games for the price of a PS3, I started to get second thoughts. So, should I buy a PS3 for the exclusives? Advice would be appreciated especially from the multi-plat owners.
I would highly recommend a PS3 for you, as well as some awesome sequels and exclusives coming out in 2011, you'll have a ton of time to play the great exclusives that have been released over the time the ps3 has been out
This week Best Buy is running a deal where you can buy the PS3 160Gb Gran Turismo Edition (comes with GT5 and blu ray of Grown Ups) for $350 plus you get a $50 gift card with purchase.
Even if you only play one PS3 exclusive youve just justified a reason for having a PS3. Because one won't be enough. Luckily you have a lot of great exclusives now cheap to catch up on and 2011..well Im sure if you look about you'll see what games are comming (it wont be hard literally every other thread..)
Do yourself a favour and go for it. Worst case you dont like the games (in which something must be wrong with you) you go yourself a great BR player with a nice dvd upscaler:)
EDIT: read the bit about from multiplat owners. Well i went from ps3 -> trade for a xbox -> buying a ps3 because I missed the games. Imo the best thing xbox has for me is most of my RL mates have one but not a ps3 so from that side I keep it around. But i play it less and less this last month Ive reconected with my ps3 due to multiplayer can get tiresome. Whereas there really are onyl a few games that manage the greatness of the single player ps3 exclusives. Im sure some disagree but I enjoy my ps3 so much more then my xbox bar when i pop on witha couple of rl mates.
