I OWN A PS3 AND EVERYONE KNOWS THAT WHEN A NEW SYSTEM COMES OUT ITS THA PRICE REALLY XBOX 360 IS OK CUZ I USE TO OWN 1 BUT WHEN U HAVE A PS3 MAN ITS DIFFERENT BECAUSE MICRSOFT IS RIPPING U OFF BECAUSE THEY DONT HAVE HD DVD SO U BUY IT AT A STOER AND ITS $200 BUCKS PLUS 360 IS $399 WITH THE NEW 360 eLITE WITH HDMI SO U REALLY LOOKIN AT $600 WHEN U ADD THAT AND THATS NOT EVEN INCLUDING BLUE RAY MAN ok SONY DOES NOT COST TO MUCH EXCEPT WHEN THEY MAKE THE 80 GB DRIVE IT WILL BE MORE.
If your lucky it might drop in a couple of years. As for developers demanding for price drop it will never happen. Because if they want to develop a game for the system they have to purchase the coding from Sony. But then when better games and the fact that they own the Blue-Ray technology that is taking over the entertainment market like wildfire. Look at the high end movie studios that Sony owns now and the ones jumping on the Blue-Ray bandwagon. Examples are Disney and Fox. With this said there may be a chance that the supply and demand could bring the price tag up before there is ever any price drop.
