I dunno about anyone else but during GTA 4 if i have a particularly big crash (into multiple people or objects) then the game seems to go into half speed, whether or not that is a feature of the game (Adrenaline perhaps?) or not is irrelevant. But it also happened during Half-Life 2 (part of the orange box set) where it was very jumpy. Then while playing MGS4 it went into a cutscene it had the same jumpyness. I am talking about graphic lagging in offline gameplay, not connection lag so does anyone have any solutions?

1080p HDMI connection if that helps?

If your trying to force 1080p with this game that is most likely the problem. The thing is there really isn't a big difference in 720p and 1080p when it comes to resolution but it can be a fairly big difference in game play. 1080p is basicly a over hyped resolution at this time because there really isn't that much that can use this resolution. Examples is TV service providers are only able to deliver 720p at this time and just about all games are produced in native 720p resolution. The only media at this time that is really useing 1080p is Blu-Ray movies.

Before the update, MGS4 had framerate issues when it came to big gunfights and explosions. Disappointing really, but the framerate only faltered a couple of times.

It lagged the worst for me during Fifa 08 when all the players run into the dressing rooms for half time.
