There's the rub- the localized expansion packs likely will not work with the North American version of the game (say, on the UK store). If you do plan on buying the North American version you will need a way to get those expansion packs from the US store. In the end it would be less hassle to purchase locally and be sure it will work.

my ninja gaiden sigma is european, got it from someone when they visited hong kong. But stupid enough theres no beheading animations for humans enemies.
