PS3 repair - do i get same system back?

Hi everyone. My launch 60gb broke down with the blinking red light of death yesterday. I'm getting sony to fix it (out of warranty), question is: Will i get back another fully backwards compatible 60gb ps3? And can i keep my harddrive? (i know for sure the hd is not what's broken)

they sent me a whole new ps3 same type

My friend who had his PS3 BD drive to mess up had a launch 60 gig and when he sent it in to sony I don't know if he got back the same exact system but when he got his back he still have full BC. Hope that helps.

Well, I had a 60gig and they sent me back a 60gig. Considering the differences of these models, I don't think they'll send you back a different one.

Had the same problem and they wanted to send me a new one but same model. It was expensive though so I am trying to repair it at a local repair shop.
