PS3 save files

I am an owner of a fat 80g ps3 without BC, i am runing out of room on my hard drive and am tired of dragging the giant to and from college. If i were to trade my old PS3 in and purchase a new Slim model would i be able to re download the things i have purchased, use the same PSN id w/ friends list, and transfer my save files and trophies? My brother has a PS3 as well so would i be able to transfer everything to his and then back to my new one?

Everything through PSN is tied to your PSN ID

Everything is tied ot your PS3 just go in the download list ot redownload the games.

Also make sure to have a external HDD and use the system settings backup feature. If you try to just save the save files there will be some files that have copy protection. Found that out when i was upgrading to a 500GB and copied each one 1 by 1.
