I bought a slim a couple days ago at ebgames, hook it up to my hdtv with HDMI and everything worked great :) Then i tried to connect it to my SD TV and the AV cable wouldn't connect to the back of the ps3. It was flimsy and the moment i let go it would fall out. There looks to be nothin wrong with it and I tried different av cables no luck. I know your suppose to reset the console when switching from HD to SD which i tried but i dont think thats the problem here. What should i do??!! thanks

You had it hooked to your HDTV, then tried to hook it up to your SDTV, and everything worked A OK while hooked up via HDMI ? Why not just leave it hooked up to the HDMI and forget about it then ?

Are you sure you weren't trying to plug the composite cable into the HDMI slot?

You need to reset the settings from HD to SD. Your PS3 is set to HDMI when you want composite.

you can and I do it when hooking HDMI to my monitor and use the standard cable for sound, works quite well.
