Ps3 slim Hdd help

I had the orginal 60gb PS3, I upgraded the Hdd to a 320gb, so i will be doing the same to the slim, but as my 60gb ps3 just broke. I wasnt able to back up all the data on the 320gb Hdd, will i lose all the data when reformating on the ps3 slim?

I backed up the 60gb data on a memory stick is there anyway to get that on the slim as it doesnt use flash drives?

You will lose your data if you reformat it, each HDD is unique to each PS3. The PS3 Slim DOES have flash drives so you can use your memory stick.

thanks for the help, i will just transfer the data from the memory stick to a pen drive.
