PS3 slim power button not responding

I was recently updating the Resistance 3 Beta, when the screen just turned blank, and the Power button at front wasn't responding, even after leaving the system on for 10 odd mins. The game didn't even update, and I couldn't reset the system. The eject button is working fine though. What should I do? Thanks

thanks to homefront i had to do it many times till after a week i destroyed the disk with a hammer

could be a sruge going bad. Had that happen with my surge protector on my PC.
