Isn't it just a little bit early to be talking about this? :? Unless if you really want a slimed PS3... unfortunately new episodes of You Can't Do That On Television stopped being made in 1990.
everyone here has a normal ps3 we dont give a crap if there is a slim ps3. if there is so what we will just see 19 different models with different size hdd. why do people care so much about a slim ps3? the ps3 has a nice shape and what will a slim ps3 do that the one out now cant?

Doubt it. With the nine gajillion SKUs Sony has released, it is clear that Sony's goal is to place a PS3 in as many homes as possible. Looks like going with cheaper versions is the way to do it.
A slimline PS3 would cost a ton and wouldn't be financially worth it to Sony.
Who's going to come up with a plan to shrink the cooling system? Still include the power supply? This? That? The other thing?
The PS3 is just fine like it is now. Besides the total mass of the console as it is now is also a big part of the cooling system (more mass means more area to absorb the heat). A slimmer console would need a complete redesign of the cooling system.
